It fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the medieval town. The accommodation is very pleasant. Positive: The accommodation was in an absolutely central location, about a 15-minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of the old town. There was a market just a 2-minute walk away, a restaurant in the building itself, and many other dining options in the vicinity. A bakery in the building opened at 7 a.m., offering delicious sweet and savory French pastries, as well as sandwiches and cakes. The apartment is situated in a stylish building with exposed wooden beams, and the interior has a rustic feel. We really appreciated the layout: a separate bedroom, a living room with an open-plan kitchen, and an entrance area featuring an additional sofa bed that could comfortably accommodate two children. The living room also had a sofa bed. It was a pleasant surprise to find coffee capsules, tea bags, sugar, and salt provided. Incidentally, a small electric shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes in Colmar, transporting passengers between the city center and the train station for free; we only used this service on our last day when heading to the station with our luggage. Negative: The apartment was on the second floor; due to the building's layout, there was no elevator, and the stairs were awkward to navigate—especially with luggage. Consequently, this accommodation is certainly not recommended for elderly people. Unfortunately, we were unaware of this beforehand. It was a particular issue for us because my husband has a knee replacement. The double bed in the bedroom was quite narrow—about 150–160 cm—making it uncomfortable for the two of us. Fortunately, the sofa in the living room was a pull-out model, so from the second night onwards, one of us slept there. Another personal issue for us was the bedding: there was one large double duvet rather than two separate single ones. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, though it lacked one small item: a dish drying rack. We had to place washed dishes on the single available tea towel. These points might not necessarily be a problem for others; I am simply mentioning them so that anyone affected is aware of the situation.
